Arron's in the Paisley Pony Magazine

We are excited to announce that this fall our old man Arron has been featured in Paisley Pony Magazine! On the magazine's request, we wrote a brief description about Arron and his accomplishments and Patti, Arron's current rider, wrote a short article about her "Perfect Pony." The article is featured on pages16 and 17, along with photos of Arron in action. A photo of Arron and Kelsy performing extended trot during a dressage kur demonstration is also featured on the cover page. Arron, with his adorable looks and eye-catching presence is not new to print fame... In the past he has been featured on the cover of Gaitpost Magazine and the front page of the Olympian Newspaper.Way to go Arron!

Arron: 28 Year Old Super Haflinger

Our most distinguished horse at Nayborly Farms has got to be Arron, who at 28 years of age has a life history that reads like a good novel. This October Arron proved once again how impressive his strong pony genes are by taking first at the Briarwood Pony Club One Day event at Novice level, with rider Patti Mize aboard. This was his second event this year, and his second win! He just keeps on going, and out on cross-country you could easily mistake him for a four year old. Congratulations to Arron and Patti for a great session.

Arron was born in 1983.
He started his eventing career at age 19, nine years ago.
And his joints seem to be working well!
A Halloween-themed event, Arron shows off his "My Little Pony" clip design.

Vientos is Homeward Bound

We are happy to announce that this September our Lusitano gelding Vientos, rescued from the Carpe Diem herd in Oregon, found a loving new owner. He successfully made the long haul down to Utah, where he will continue his training and be used for dressage, Parelli horsemanship, and all around pleasure riding. He's found the perfect place to flourish. Best wishes to Vientos!

Cows and Company

Last Friday we hauled down the road to our good friends Tom and Theresa's to help them sort their cow herd. They have a beautiful 40 acre farm, complete with hayfields and hills. We had a great afternoon moving the cows around and then playing on the hill afterward. Here are some of the photos by Chesna.

Inavale One Day Event

It's been a little while since we last posted, but don't be fooled--we've had plenty of horsey happenings taking place! This past weekend we kicked off our event season by attending the Inavale One Day Horse Trials in Pillomath, Oregon. Talk about a fun weekend! We took Huxley and Brico, along with Jess and Bravo (carpooling to save gas!). The weekend was fun and successful--perfect 80 degree + weather, good company, and very well-behaved horses. Kelsy and Huxley finished on their dressage score of 26.6 to take first in Training level. Brico finished on his dressage score of 31, placing second in Novice.
